Hey everyone, ive had a mental blank, whats that thing you can use your pc for,its called flagging or something, its like when u have it on the net and running a small process in the background, and it helps contribute to some supercomputer kinda thing that trys to solve really hard problems, im just wondering what its called so i can start doing it, i just cannot remember what its called.
 
You are thinking of "folding", or more specifically protein folding, which is just one of the many projects your computer can run in the background (others including simulations for particle accelerators, searching for extra terrestrial signals, and predicting world climate) check out the Distributed Computing Forum and http://www.distributedcomputing.info for more info.
