Nobody knows everything there is to know. I would suggest just searching google and being active at forums with knowledgeable members. Ars is a great place other then Anandtech with really knowledgeable members.

Ars is one of the best places to get a deeper look into how different CPU architectures work. You won't be an expert but it will give you a good idea why certain CPUs are designed the way they are.

Why do you need to know this?

From experience...I'd say play around with stuff. I used to write reviews on video cards, CPU's, mainboards and various other things. I learned a lot just by going through and testing different things. I also learned things by attending industry events like Intel's Developer Forum, Comdex, etc. Of course, it's easier when you can get a press pass to those things and it's all free and whatnot.

I'm also a computer technician. I manage a local store here. The best way for me to learn was just to jump in and do stuff. I used to screw around with my own computer a lot. I can fix computers, laptops, printers, scanners...learned by both doing it myself and also by helping and watching other people that knew more about it than I did at one time. Printers and laptops can be intimidating for people to work on, but once you do a couple you get better at it.

Anyway...just wondering what your goal is...what you plan to do with the knowledge.
