look at what my 9800AIW just started doing!!!

no rebooting or replacing drivers is helping...

my pci 9000 is unaffected

did I loose my card? what's gong on?

EDIT: just found out that the 9800AIW has a 3 year warranty... sending for RMA... wondering about similar, although far less permanent and more rare on my radeon 9000 :roll:

it's too hot. take it out and clean dust out of the heatsink, arrange more case fans to help. if it still does it download atitool and underclock it like 50 mhz

I say its either overheating or came loose from your case. Try pulling it out and putting it back in. If that doesn't work let it sit for a few then try it again.

How long ago did you get it?

last april... fan is working... HSF is so hot it burned my finger :shocked:

Bingo. I had a 9800 Pro Ultimate ed, same problem out of the box, had to RMA it. It is a 'common' fault of said model.

That looks like my laptop screen after I plug in (happens 1/30 times). Weird but I restart and its gone. Got a Radeon 9200

I have artifacting about 1/30 boots on my PCI radeon 9000 in the same machine... is there any documentation about this artifacting problem? How can it be so common?
