i just received my dell 2005fpw

however when i tried to play cs:s on it, certain maps, such as de_port and de_aztec would give me all these rectangular white boxes and screws up the monitor

what could be the problem//how should i solve it?

btw, i'm using DVI

You're certain this is not a video card issue? You don't have this problem if you connect your old monitor?

Have you tried connecting it via the SVGA port instead of DVI just see if it happens or not?

Thats not the monitor's fault . . .

Check your vidcard. reinstall drivers, maybe. If it's only on some CS:S maps, maybe a CS reinstall might help. I doubt its the monitor.

If switching back to RGB from DVI helps, its probably your vidcard.
