I have just acquired a combo drive dvd/cdrw and need some advice on how to get it installed so I can play dvd movies on my spare computer. It only has a 633 celly 192mb sdram and an intel I810 motherboard. Will this do it with win98se? This dvd is only a 16x and is my first dvd rom. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Also do I need software in order for it to play dvd's?
Thanks

You should be able to play DVDs just fine with that Celeron processor and Windows98SE. Installing it should be easy too, unplug the old drive, set the new drives jumper to the same position as the old one, and plug it in. Might need a driver for it for Win98SE, not sure though.

You will need a program to play DVDs. You can either buy one, or, download the VideoLAN Client Player here:

It's free and plays DVDs.
