Hi all!

I am about to purchase a laptop and i need a desktop replacement with the following specs..

- Faster than my 2 Ghz P4 w/ 256 RDRAM
- min 256 MB DDR SD Ram (pref. 512)
- 64MB DDR min. graphics
- a big hard drive (min. 40 pref 80)
- Ethernet (pref. WiFi)
- Cd-RW
- PCMCIA Card slots
- USB 2 (3 slots min)
- min 15' screen

Here are my questions:

What brand should i get? or should i go generic (soo cheap)

Centrino or P4 or P4m? and why??

Do i go tablet??

PS. I dont care that much about the weight but max 8 or 9 lbs..

oh and the most important thing (UNDER 1500$)
