I have a problem that has surfaced lately. I moved and therefore changed isp providers. There is no DSL or cable so I must stay with dial up. But I play Everquest on it and now I am having major problems. I cant even log onto the web and staying connected, I stay on for about 5 or 6 pages then it cant find a page, and i must restart my WHOLE system. I am beliveing or kinda leaning towards my RAM it is Kingston HyperX KHX3500/256 two sticks of them or my radeon 9700 pro. But I have tried 3 different modems even an external one, so I dont think its my modem(hell maybe its XP). But has anyone else had problems with this memory? Or is there something I have overlooked?
Thanks in advance

Does it lock-up? If not I doubt it's ram. If it just sits there looking for a web page it's probably just a crappy connection.

Maybe the ISP or a bad phone line, something like that. This can happen often on dial-up. I feel for you 'cause i can't get high speed either (unless I spend mega-bucks on satelite):frown:

Watch the little icon in your systray and see if it stops responding if it does it's a slow connection.

Also try adaware to check for spyware slowing you down. Some have had alot of trouble with this.

You can get it here

Good Luck!
