Err ... unless your BIOS update comes on a bootable floppy, you're going to need SOME sort of operating system in order to do that. What the error message is saying is "I've finished starting up and am ready to work, but I can't find any operating system to load, so now what do I do?"

Format/partition your hard drive, install your operating system, and you should be good to go.

Go into your BIOS/System setup - usually press delete at start-up and change the order of the boot devices to CD booting first. Put your Windows CD in your CD drive and restart your computer. When windows starts from the CD it will give you the options to partition and or format, as well as where you want to install the OS.

Hehhe ya your pc was fresh and a blank hard drive you needed a O/S 1st well seems like you learned what to do.
