I just removed my heatsink from my processor and remounted it. Now when i boot up, i can get into windows, but as soon as i start prime95 the computer dies, and the power light stays on, all my funs turn off, and the speaker begins to beep. Did i remount the heatsink poorly? Should i just try again? (The mobo seemed to give quite a bit when i was removing the slk800 could i have broken the mobo?)

Its possible you split open a trace on the motherboard...? Or did you slip and nic the board when removing the HS/fan...? But it does sound more like you have the HS/fan improperly mounted...? Also would assume your using AS1-3...? When you remove the HS/fan again take a close look at the cpu to make sure you did not knock off a corner...? Or and edge...? Uh "this would be bad" :(

Good luck...

Think i fixed it, think it was either AS3 on the mobo near the nb or as3 on the capacitors (or resistors not sure which it is) on the chip. Thanx for your help though.
