A couple days ago, my speakers stopped working all of a sudden. I rebooted, thinking something had gone whack, and that would fix the problem. NADA!!! So I go and get my old speakers, and they work fine.

Upon further investigation, I notice that the volume control box has a couple of places where there is very fine white dust. It doesn't smell burnt, but does anyone think that is the problem? All the speakers run through the sub, which runs through the volume box on the way to the computer, so if it was bad, then nothing would work, correct?? Has anyone else had this problem? I am going to call Logitech Monday and request an RMA #, unless someone has something else they think I should do. (And please, no one say, "Go buy some Klipsches").

TY in advance for all your help, am about to go crazy not being able to hear my clicks and beeps.

Don't they have a fuse somewhere? I think that is what kept blowing on everyone.

i have a set of z560's..mine still work fine after 7+ months...

this particular set of logitech's have a special fuse in the sub to turn off the entire system if it overheats. Make sure the cooling fins on the back have adequate ventilation, then turn the speakers off for a few minutes, and turn them back on. they should work like a charm.

Oh yeah, if the lights surrounding the buttons on your control center still light, nothing is wrong with it.
