Help...wont boot

I removed my heatsink and cleaned it. Now when I try and boot my main machine it wont boot.

I have an Epox 8kha+ board which has an onboard post code display. It runs through all the codes and finally comes up with FF (just like it allways has). I get one beep from the system speaker (just like it allways has) and then the machine freezes. Ive checked all my connections, the HSF is correctly seated etc. When I try to boot to last known good configuration it stops.

When I try and boot to safe mode it runs through all the junk it loads at the beginning and halts at;

multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS\System32\Drivers\Mup.sys

Can anyone tell me what is wrong with my machine, my system specs are on my rigs page. I am running Windows XP Pro.

Thanks

I just tried copying the Mup.sys file off of one machine, onto a floppy and onto the dead machine. That did not work. Im trying to boot and use the recovery console now.

I'm having a similar problem with my upgraded XP Pro system. The boot disc won't even work.

I wonder if it?s a virus or XP related? My old P3B-F mobo suffered a bad BIOS upgrade so I decided to get a new MSI MS-6380E KT3 Ultra and fix the P3 later.

Someone smarter than me might have an answer for us.
