Help with Wired internet sharing device

Shizzle

Senior member
Will, i was originally going to go wireless to share my cable internet (upstairs) with my new PC (downstairs) but dad says he can put a wire through the walls and roof to share the cable internet with me new pc which will be in my room downstairs

i have a few question!

1)What cables/equipment do i need?

2)Also please explain how and where i would connect things up to accomplish this!! (if possible)

Thanks for you time and effort, please reply

Try wireless out first - the price difference betwen a wired and wireless router is minimal. If and only if the wireless connection is poor or drops intermittently should you consider going the wired route. And while you or your dad may be able to do the wiring - this is best left to professionals so that you dont end up with endless problems - for a office setup typical charge is not too much generally 125_150$/drop.
