Installed WinMe and now my floppy is reconigzed as a Removable drive! I did a fresh install of WinMe. How can I fix this? Is there something I am missing? Under Device Manager it reads floppy disk controller. Please Help.
 
isnt floopy a removable drive? did u previosly have windows9x on it? did it detect the floopy? if not then check you bios, you can also try to remove the device from device manager and reinstall it, I got winME running on my main system but I dont have a floopy drive, I also got it running on my BookPC but I havent paid attention since i dont use that floopy either. Im to lazy to check it out cause its in my basement.
 
Problem Solved! When I inspected the back of the floppy a prong had broken off of the back. I guess it must of happened when I was cleaning up the inside of my case. Thanks
