First off i have a

Celeron 600@900mhz
Abit BH6
128mb RAM
Voodoo3 2000 PCI 16mb
Maxtor 18G 7200rpm
WD 40G 5400rpm
Leopard 56k Fax/Modem
Creative SB Audio PCI

Heres the problem. I'm able to install it perfectly fine. I boots up fine... but when i open paint (haven't tried many other applications yet only a few).
My computer would just like go into shock or something. My mouse will move very slow no matter how fast i move the mouse and leave the trail marks.
I can't do anything everything is sooooo slow it bugs the hell out of me.... It looks like the computer has froze and the only thing i can do is move the mouse.
No matter what i try to do.... even tried converting the filesystem the NTFS hoping it will fix the problem but nothing seems to work.
I'm guessing it has to do with one of my hardwares... Can anyone help me narrow this problem down.

I can run Windows 2000 perfectly fine on my other computer which is.

Soyo MB(Forgot the Model)
Amd K6-2 500mhz
32mb RAM (generic)
ATI Xpert 2000 32mb
4.3g WD HD
4.3g Seagate HD
SB 16bit PCI

My Question is wat makes this system work perfectly fine with windows 2000, but my other system get so screwy.... due to that problem i've had
to run Windows Me for about 2-3 months, and i don't like Me.... Can aynone help me out.

Hit Ctrl-alt-del and click on the processes tab and then on %cpu usage. It will arrange the processes in order of cpu usage and you can see what is hogging the cpu (if this is the problem). Next, you may want to enable logging to see whether it is memory, paging, cpu, etc that is causing the problem. Without having this info, it will be hard to recommend a solution.

First thing I'd try would be running the cpu at the speed it's actually rated at, instead of 150% of what it's rated at.

That would be my first guess as well.

First, drop your processor speed down to its normal operating speed.

Also...make sure you are installing Windows 2000 from a clean, good CD. I have seen people have similiar problems when they download the ISO from an online source which ends up having corrupt (virus-infested) files.

Just some thoughts though...hope that helps.
