Im baffled

I've tried everything i can think of and cant figure out what the problem is.

Here's the specs on my new desktop

HP a6152n
Intel Core 2 Quad 2.40 GHz
3MB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce 8500 GT
Windows Vista Home Premium

The problem I have is any time i listen to any music or watch any video every couple minutes it skips. It happens wether I am watching video in a browser or even if Im watching a local movie on my computer. It also happens just listening to music. Anyone have any idea why it is doing this and how I can fix it? Any help would be much appreciated, thanks.

It's because you only have 3MB of RAM silly!!!! (sorry.. had to post that 🙂 )

Have you tried updating the audio driver from HP's website?

is it really the ram? I mean 3GB is a pretty decent amount.

And yea I tried updating all of the drivers on the computer along with the NVIDIA but everything is up to date.

Do you have a pci sound card?
if you do, need to reinstall (newer) driver and too make sure the integrated sound chip-set is disabled in bios.
