Help with understanding PS

Guys,

I've built a few boxes, but mostly for office use. Now I'm building a gaming PC and I'm not sure I understand how to choose a power supply.

Here's the components.
Aerocool ExtremeEngine 3T Case
Abit IP35-e Mobo (No SLI)
Intel CD2 e6850 CPU
Crucial Ballistix DDR2 memory 2 x 1GB pc8500
eVGA 8800GTS 640 MB Pcie video card
2 Seagate SATA 3.0 HDs
Floppy
1 DVD ROM
1 DVD Burner

The board has the new 28 pin main connector.

Do I need dual rails?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

Greg

No need for dual rails but it should be okay, you'd prolly want a PSU around 400-500w, with 35a+ combined on the 12v rail(s). Something like the corsair 520hx should do the trick.

Thanks for the help. I found a wattage calculator and it looks like I need 507 Watts.
I checked Newegg and thay had the Corsair on sale for $114 so I bought it.
Seasonic looked great too, but a saved a few bucks.

Thanks again

Greg

actually there is no such thing as an "excellent" PSU calculator.
At best they can give you a rough idea of what you might need!!

Peace!!
