Help with trillian.

Hi,
Ive been using trillian for a while now as a replacement for MSN and ICQ, now ive just noticed that it doesnt connect propely to MSN. It`ll connect for a minute or so, and then disconnect. Why is this happening? The ICQ part works fine.

Are you sure you have the latest version? ICQ, MSN, and Yahoo have all made changes that older versions of Trillian just do not work with.

Download and install the latest version from http://www.trillian.cc

I'm connecting fine here at the moment (Trillian Pro). Maybe it was a temporary thing.

Trillian was doing something similar to me a week or two ago. A reboot fixed it for me.

Im running the freeware version of trillian. Reboots dont work for me.

Have you tried removing the MSN account from Trillian's connection manager? Try that and add the account again (be sure to delete the msn.ini file in C:\Documents and Settings\[Your XP Username]\Trillian\User Settings\[Trillian Profile Name] as well).

Was happening a couple days ago for me... but seems to be staying connected now.

I had that same problem and this is what I did to fix it. Reinstall the .74 patch in Trillian again. I know that you already have it installed but reinstall it again. I had problems with Trillian on this and after reinstalling the patch, it seemed to work ok. 🙂

Can you guarantee that it`ll work? Cos ive just got Miranda IM working perfectly with all networks. A MSN plugin update fixed miranda to support the new MSN protocalls.

Doesnt matter. Ive done what you said, and it still disconnects after a while.
I`ll stick to Miranda IM for now.

I just installed this and I have the Aikon skin. I unzipped it into the Skins folder but it still doesn't show up in the skin browser drop down menu. Why is this?
