Help with this code

Help me decode this, my friend put this in his info:

When i converted the binary to text it didnt make sense:
"SnVuZyBRdnEgQmFyIEZhYmp6bmEgRm5sIEdiIEd1ciBCZ3VyZT8="

So I inverted the 0's and the 1's and the binary to text translation of that was:
"¬‘©Š¥†½­›‘º˜®’¹†¶º¥—¦’?É?’º˜­’ÊŒ¶º›–¶º›Îœ–½¼¥Ì©†¥«ÇÂ"

Now this makes sense...This is ASCII...HTML decodes the ASCII as"
"¬ ? © ? ¥ ? ½ ­ ? ? º ? ® ? ¹ ? ¶ º ¥ ? ¦ ? É ? º ? ­ ? Ê ? ¶ º ? ? ¶ º ? Î ? ? ½ ¼ ¥ Ì © ? ¥ « Ç Â "

For the life of me I can't figure this out... I couldnt see any patterns in these characters. Stumped! Any ideas?? If you can figure this out post it! And let me know how you figured it out.

this forum actually converted the ASCII to the characters but the binary translation was in ASCII format, for example:

& # 1 7 2;
& # 8 2 1 6;
& # 1 6 9;
& # 3 5 2;
& # 1 6 5;
& # 8 2 2 4;
& # 1 8 9;
& # 1 7 3;
& # 8 2 5 0;
& # 8 2 1 6;
& # 1 8 6;

I added spaces in between the characters so this forum post wouldnt decode it to the ACCII characters it did above. Anyway, you get the point.

took me 10 seconds (no I haven't done these things before). the = at the end of the binary->text is a tip-off that it's base64 encoding. then I googled base64 output, saw some stuff related to rot13. found rot13 converter, pasted it there.

binary->text, base64 decoder, and feed that in to rot13.

binary->text dec: SnVuZyBRdnEgQmFyIEZhYmp6bmEgRm5sIEdiIEd1ciBCZ3VyZT8=
base 64 dec: Jung Qvq Bar Fabjzna Fnl Gb Gur Bgure?
rot 13 dec: What Did One Snowman Say To The Other?
