Help...I feel stupid. Maybe it is because I am exhausted from my job but I can't figure this out.

Won LG LHT764 home theater system. Have Emerson tv and DISH network. Dish is hooked up via coax. Home theater system is HDMI. When watching dvd, sound is great. When watching tv (satellite) no sound from speakers.

What is wrong? How do I get sound from tv to speakers when not watching dvd?
 
Do you have anything running from the dish box to the HT system?
When you say coax you mean digital coax right? Not the coax out from the dish box to the TV?

If you have that or optical hooked up then hit the source button on the LG till you hit the appropriate input. Now if you were talking about RG6 coax and dont have anything running over from the dish box to the LG HT then you need another run.
