Help with the duron+shuttle motherboard.

I recently got the duron+shuttle mobo for 79 bucks at frys but I have trouble with the ram. I tried the stick of 256 pc 100 but it doesnt seem to work. Anyone else has this problem?
 
The mobo doesnt seem to take the pc100 ram... I dont know if it is compatible with the mobo as it says VIA KT 133 chipset. I read somewhere else that it has to be pc133 rams. I am wondering if that is true?
 
Yea.....I think it is the ram that is defective now. Thanx a bunch for the info. I popped it in my dad's old desktop and the ram doesnt work.....so that means it must be the ram and not the mobo.
