As you can read, I have a Asus A7V133 and I just got some PC166 ram from the Overclockers Store. My problem is that I cant get windows to load 140FBS at CAS2. Going by the website, the ram is supposed to be 166 at 2-2-2 but when I tell my motherboard to use SPD for my timings, it sets them to 3-3-3. I'm running at 115x12 with my ram at 153 but windows wouldnt load at 2-2-2. I'm starting to get mad, I want to run at 9x166 at 2-2-2 but it wont! AHHHH......

Any ideas that I could try?

Is it just that the A7V133 doesnt work to well with the FSB above 140?

I have tested two A7V133 and both wouldn't to go over 143Mhz FSB. I have tested my Microns to be stable at 160+ in asynchronous mode, so the ram should be no issue.
Note that I have tested with the standard northbridge cooling as well as with a massive PIII hsf (actually the Intell PIII in-a-box hsf) glued to the kt133a with Arctic Silver Thermal Adhesive.

Simply run the highest FSB: I'm running 143 FSB/MEM with generic RAM 2/2/2. It will run syncronously...

+ 143*7.5 is waaaaaay better than 11*100 in benchmarks...

it's not the ram, it's the async FSB/MEM... ain't workin' too better above 112. That's why VIA set the mem only to sync above 124 or so.

It's more useful to have the highest FSB.... mem speed comes in 2nd (unless u run it @ -PCI speeds which should be crap.)

Yes, qiu is right, I have tested both FSB/RAM at 143 MHz and FSB120/RAM160 with Seti@Home, and the performance is nearly the same, although Sandra mem score is about 650 for the 143 and way over 700 for the 120/160 configuration.

Mine has been running 144X10.5 since I installed it, had it up to 150X10 with 1 256 stick Infenion ram purchased from Instarain, never a crash at 144 for me, I love mine, all at 2-2-2 :D

that is strange, have you tried any other ram ?? or in another slot ??

I have mine at 150fsb CAS 2,2,2. I'm running a 1 Ghz AXIA @ 9.5x150fsb=1425Mhz.
