Help with T-bird bridges

I've got a 900 t-bird with the L-1 unlocked and that seems to be fine as I took it to 1.0 without a hitch on the 100fsb. How ever I need to do that bridge work on the L-6 and maybe L-7 to get it to run on the 133fsb. Can someone tell me what I need to do or point me the right way.

Lance, what mobo do you have, maybe bridge rework is not required. Heres the info anyway. Connect all the L7 bridges to get your Vcore to 1.85. You have a 900 and the L6 bridges will look like this

If you reconfigure them to

. | | | : that will default to 700 or 7x multiplier which should be a good starting point for 7X133 . Make sure that you check the system at 100 before switching.

You should also check your memory at 133 with 100FSB by selecting memory speed of HSTCLK+PCICLK becfore doing anything. Make sure you reset to just HSTCLK and BIOS defaults before switching to 133.

I have the Epox 8kta3. I have the memory going at 133 now so that's ok. When I tried to go to 133fsb by moving the jumper on the mobo it would'nt boot. I tried lowering the multiplier in the bios and still nothing. When the jumper on this board is at 133 it automatically sets the memory the same as the fsb. That's why I figured I needed to do the L-6 work. Is the L-7 jump neccesary if I'm not planning to crank it up? I've heard that is a source of increased heat which I want to avoid if possible.

I would be most interested to learn just what needs to be done to run this board at 133fsb. I also have a 8kta3 but with a 650-D. First time OCer currently at 918mhz (102/34) and 1.84v, sys temp 39-40c. I don't think I'll be able to get much more out of it at 100fsb.

Lance, when you tried to switch to 133 did you set your BIOS to defaults, other than the multiplier. Thiis is a 'must do' several BIOS options between 100 and 133 are not compatable (like the HSTCLK+PCICLK to increase memory speed). Reset everything to defaults, and you might be OK.

Heres the deal on the L7s, with them all connected you'll get default 1.85v at Power ON and initialization which is good, BUT you can set the voltage lower in your BIOS if the higher voltage isn't required for normal running. This way, after initialization your cpu will run cooler.
