Hi i have a custom built pc using an Athlon 64 3200+with stock HSF, an Abit Kv8 Max3 mobo, and a Radeon 9800 pro with stock HSF. i play counter strike source using this pc and randomly it freezes on me. it doesnt shut down so i ruled out the system overheating but the pc just freezes and i have to restart the computer. my guesses are the video card is not cooling or maybe the cpu is not cooling good enough. PLEASE HELP!!!
 
it's prolly ur card... make sure ur fan is running on ur vidcard... or u could get an aftermarket cooler like arctic silencer for like $20-25..
 
My cpu temp is 50 C while playin cs source
I have overclocked the A64 3200+ to 2.4 ghz
1 gig PC3200 ram dont know the timing
It only locks up while playin games not in regular windows and with other games it does not freeze. i also tried downloading those new drivers but it didnt help but thanx anywayz.
What should normal temps be for idle and load?
