Help with Super pi

Ok so i downloaded the superpi and followed the instructions in the sticky section

I copied the file 2 and renamed the 2 exe file(added 1) i run the first instance and set affinitiy for each program i keep getting ann error on the 2nd instance it says
not convergent in sqr05

what does this mean

likely related to some piece of hardware OC'd to far....

I didn't have to rename any .exe... I created 4 folders and unzipped the ssame superpi file into each folder and selected therm....The only thing renaming the exe does is make it easy in the task manager to see which one is which core...in case one core fails faster...

The only time I got that error was when I oc'd too far or got an error and did not shutdown the exe and restart...

Duvie i havent overclocked anything. Everything is at stock im just testing the program to get familiar with it. Do i need to set Infinity for each?

You should cause the app is only singlethreaded anyways and you want to make sure you are using both cores....

Shouldn't be the reason cause I dont think I have a few times and never got that error....

Are you ram timings set right...not oc'd but tweaked???

Duvie i dont know why it didnt run the first time but i deleted the files i had then did what you did with the 2 folders and its working now thanks for your help. From what it looks like it runs it 24 time how long does it usually take your to finish?

Which one are you running?? 1M, 2M, 4M, 8M, 16M, or 32M???

My 2.5ghz cores of my 265 do it in like 34sec...I had a 2.66ghz A64 3000+ that did it at 29sec...those are for 1M

Superpi like ram timings and memory bandwidth...It doesn't show up much i nthe lower test, but makes big difference in the longer 32M test which should take you 30min+

this is what it looks like i stopped it around the 4th loop so im trying to figure if i let it go how long will it go or do i stop it after a certain number of loops?

Do a search for the 32M superpi thread (I know the search function sucks and is borked)...it had tons of times in there...

Here is mine...It looks like a 1.8ghz A64 will do it in near 40minutes...a 2.66ghz overclocked with oc'd ram will do it in 27min....

I tried the search but kept getting an error 102 but it seems to work now. Once the test is done that means its ok. I didnt understand how to interpret the data but the way i read it its a pass or fail type deal,

You can compare the data against like machines to see if you have everytihing tweaked as high as it can possibly go...or if you can run 2 instances of this it means the systems is somewhat stable....A more longer duration stress tester is needed to say you have stability...however since you dont seem to be ocing, just compare the time with other like systems....I doubt your system is not stable...
