Help with soundcard needed

I built a system for my kids and installed a known good SB16 isa soundcard in it. The sound works fine but WinMe doesn't recognize anything I hookup to the gameport. This is the first time this card has been used with WinMe but it loaded drivers fine. It tells me that nothing is connected to the gameport. The floppy driver that I have came with in when Win95 was first released and can't seem to find anything newer on their website. Any help will be appreciated.
