Help with Soundblaster??

Vid Diamond Stealth 3000 3D
Sound Soundblaster AWE64
MB FIC brand

I am trying to get the soundblaster to work with win95. It starts to play the sound but then seems to error out. The little play button stays greyed out untill I hit the stop button. I have installed this thing, reformated, screamed and yelled at it and it does the same thing everytime. I have tryed the newest drivers available from Creative to the ones that come with it. Please help me with this before I go crazy????

Does it play for a second or so and then stop?

Usually this is the result of an IRQ conflict. Make sure that your SBAWE64 is on IRQ5 or IRQ7 and that no other device is sharing that IRQ.

Yeah...i'll second that one. If that doesn't work...try moving your sound card...to a different ISA slot if you have any.

I got it working finially. Man I really hate windows 95. It supports nothing. Thanks for the advice.
