Help with Sound Problem

I am trying to get a Sound Blaster 16 working in my sisters comp. Windows sees it and shows no problems yet there is no sound. Nothing is muted and the sound is as loud as i can put it to. But still no sound comes out of the speakers. I am using Creatives Drivers, and I have used the Windows 98 Drivers but neither work

Can someone help?

Gotta start somewhere, are the speakers plugged into the right socket? They aren't very clearly labeled 😛

Do you get a snap or a crackle plugging those speakers in? How 'bout a pop?
 
Nope no Snap Crackle or Pop :{
Of the three spots of is lable line out, mic, and line in

I have the speakers plugged in the line out. But nothing
