Well, I just got my new motherboard/processor.. and I assembled them, took my soundcard/videocard, etc out of my old PC (All fairly new ~1 1/2 years)
I'm having problems, every now and then my sound will skip, regardless of what I'm doing, I can just being listening to MP3s and my sound will skip.. it's more anoyying in games, because it causes an FPS drop to zero.
My setup is;
ABIT NF7
Soundblaster Live! 5.1
Radeon 9500 PRO
AMD 2500+ XP
I've disabled the onboard sound and lan, but I only did it after I installed the SB drivers..
I also can't update my Soundblaster drivers, when I download the driver pack it says "You do not have a Soundblaster Audio Card, please make sure everything is installed correctly, Setup will now exit."
Anyone have any idea how I can fix the skipping sound, it's quite random too.. I run at a stable 38-41c idle, 45c LOAD (prime95)
Thanks in advance!
