Help with setting up

Hello people,

I just recently bought parts to my comp. 3000+ 64 socket 939, a8v deluxe, 6800 OC, Enermax PSU, and centurion case. I put in the motherboard (I might have overtightened one or two screw but only by a little - no screws came with my motherboard :S) and I set everything else up; put in the power switch jack, the reset. I also connected the mobo to the atx supply through the 20 pin connector and thorugh the 4 pin connecter on the other side of the mobo. I plugged in my floppy (so that I could flash the bios), I plugged in the video card also. All set. Now I plug the PC into a power outlet, flip the [O --] switch and I hear a very strange sound coming from my PSU. It's a prolonged beeping noice and the fans ain't working on it either (I plugged in the PSU Fan connecter also on the motherboard). My question is: What might have I done wrong. I don't even wanna think if I did something to the mobo and by sending electrity through it it screwed something up. Thanks.

Is the mobo mounted on standoffs like it ought to be? 😱 Also look at the I/O shield where the various ports come out the rear, and make sure the springy finger things are not getting into the network jack or USB jacks.
