Okay, I've rolled out over a dozen Win2000 Pro boxes using the Seti@Home Service v2.0 at work and I had no problems. All of them connect via a single SetiQ server. I loaded Win2000 Pro on the system my bro and I setup for my mom and I can't get the stupid client to work. When I try to install it with my proxy I use the following command:
seti_control install -proxy system2:5512 (system2 is my SetiQ and it's on port 5512 - I tried using the IP as well but same result). I connect to my SetiQ and am prompted for my user info. I enter 2 for existing and enter my Email when prompted. That's the last thing that happens. I left it for several hours and it didn't move.
I also tried without the proxy (seti_control install) letting it connect to the Berkeley servers. I connect and get prompted for 1 (new user) or 2 (existing user). I enter 2 and am prompted for my user Email. I enter it (tried a bunch of times) and it tells me my Email is not valid. I tried manually and with the setup.bat. Same result.
What gives?
