Not a hard core gamer

Photographer using Lightroom and photoshop, Premiere for graphic and video
occasional flight simulator

have built two prior machines and used core duo chips e6800s which are very long in the tooth

will be building a newer machine using skylake i7 3.4 Ghz processor, gtx 950 video


looking at two mid range boards
ASUS ROG VIII ranger
Gigabyte GA-170xp-sli

or any other good alternative

Not an overclocker
Want solid day in day out performance

Any recommendations or other suggesstions appreciated

If you dont overclock and you don't plan to have SLI on your system, H170 would be fine.
