Kinda of a long preface but please bear with me....A while back I was scouring the web for a program that would let me create virtual image drives on my computer so that I could run an image from my hard drive. I found a few and installed them to see which worked the best. One of the them installed but didn't work so I uninstalled it, but it left some drivers on my system because everytime XP boots and the programs popup in the system tray i get an icon in the system tray warning that "some applications or devices have been disabled because they are incompatible and will blow up your machine" (or something like that). Now i can close the dialog box and continue normally but I what i really want is to be able to remove the drivers that are causing the problem. But I can't find them. Is there any way to find what application or device is causing this. When i click the icon, an xp help window comes up and says that it is a cd recording program that has been disabled. The only cd recording programs i have are cloneCD and Nero and they both work. (Yes I know the newer Nero has a virtual image drive but i didn't get Nero until after i installed the other software).

Thanks in advance.

how about just going into MSCONFIG and unchecking the box, if it's still listed, in the start-up menu???

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run --->check here and the keys around it! runonce etc.. look for something out of the ordinary.
