Help with reinstall of Win95?????????

I attempting a reinstall of Win95. The computer currently boots up to DOS. I tried the reinstall of Win95. It works fine initially. It goes to the screen that says 'running windows 95 for the first time'. Then it kicks me to DOS and I get a error message that something is wrong with the system.ini file. It tells me to hit a key to continue. Then it gives a similiar error message about other files. I don't have this written down. I am working off memory here. After three for four of these the computer powers down. I hope I am ready to drop back and punt. For reference I have a Microstar 815 Pro Motherboard. It was running fine at one point until the dial up networking when haywire and I decided to reintall Win95. Help!!!!

well...first of all....WIN95????? my my...what version? and what are the error messages. Win95 was so unstable for me. I drop kicked and punted that long ago. In order to pin point the problem, we need to know the error messages. So we can determin if it is a hardware issue, or a software issue.
