Windows XP won?t boot.

I always used my USB mouse with the ps/2 adaptor.

Possible cause:

Before the problem happened I put the mouse on the USB port but on that moment XP booted.

When I restarted, the BIOS loaded but then the screen went black in the Windows Logo (with the loading bar underneath) and it doesn't boot.

Urgent help needed.
 
Do you have any keyboard control over your BIOS?
Have you tried F8... (last known good configuration), before Windows loads?
