help with Q9400 + Asus P5K OC :/

So.. I have a bit of a problem here..

my system:

Asus P5K
Q9400 @ 3,2 GHz
2x2Gb Kingston HyperX 1066MHz DDR2
Asus GTX280

As you can see I have my system running at 3,2GHz (400FSB) and its prime / intel burntest stable I have the processor voltage at 1,235

The problem is that I can't get past 400FSB :/ But when I try settings over that (410, 415, 425, 440) I always crash.. I have tried setting the vcore to 1,4 (affraid to go over that) upping NB voltage to 1,4 but I always get a blue screen just when it loads windows :/

Now I'm not that experienced with Ocing.. so could you nice people suggest some more settings in bios I should try :/

I have set C1Eist and speedstep off.

This is very normal with subpar motherboards. Every motherboard has what is called an FSB wall, where they simply won't clock any higher regardless of CPU potential or voltage. My first motherboard, a Biostar P43 D2-A7 had an FSB wall of 421 with my dual core. Even raising the FSB by one more, regardless of the multiplier, caused the board to fail to post. You can try upping the north bridge voltage even higher, I know my Asus P5E deluxe is supposed to need 1.5-1.6v to be stable with an FSB past 450 for quads. TBH though, it is probably better you just leave it at what you have, and either consider buying another motherboard in the future (the Asus P5Q is cheap, but effective. Gigabyte UD3P is an overclocking monster), or be happy with what you have.
