can anyone recomend a good proxies program?

also i wanted to know whats the difference between socks and regular proxies? are socks only on port 1080?

basicly which is the safest.
 
I think the best proxy program is one thats free 🙂 Try aproxy, I think I used it for a while, until I got sick and tired of the whole proxy idea... Check out download.com's proxy section, they have a bunch. I don't know how much it matters as to what program you use, I think it more matters how you use it. If you are looking for specific features, then you will know if a program is good or not by testing it.
