Help with Promise Controller

A friend of mine has two Seagate Barracuda 120 GB 7200 SATA drives and a promise controller (S150) in his Dell computer. The controller Bios reports that there is two drives there and there is a striping array created, but when I go to install Windows XP it says there are no hard drives present. I have a hard time believing that both of his drives have failed. Could his controller failed? Could it just be that I have to find the controller drivers off the net and put them on a floppy disk and press F6 when windows starts through the CD? That was my only thought. Any input?

Thanks for reading.

Yes, you have to find the controller drivers off the net and put them on a floppy disk and press F6 when windows starts through the CD.
