help with plexiglass case.

Hey, i was wondering if anyone has any ideas on how to make the edges on a clear cpu case to be smooth and glossy after beveling them a bit. I dont want the sharp edges. I saw a man just bevel an angle into the edge of a peice of lexan. Then he took a torch of some sort and ran it down the edge after sanding it first and it was glossy like the face. The one thing is....it was black lexan. Would this method work on plexi and will it discolor the edge?

I used to work for a company that did all kinds of bend and forms of plastic and lexan was used a lot but I never saw any plexi used so it may not be as forgiving to heat. I would suggest a test with a small scrap piece first maybe that would give you an idea of how it would react.

Funny note when I first started there in 84' GE was shocked to find that we were able to vacuum form lexan while keeping its clarity, now everyone does it. Sub Note: the company is now out of buisiness and they never took my suggestion of producing car accesories (smoked light covers, bug gaurds ect) seriously, they said it was a fad and would never catch on.........LOLOLOL

Entity: What type of adhesive are you using? I would like to know what would well with lexan for a future project.
