help with PCI controllers

Please help as I'm looking for a couple of good inexpensive controller cards.

I'm looking for a RAID compatible PCI IDE ATA133 card with up to 4 slots that will work for both hard drives and CD/DVD drives. However, do the RAID cards have to be used as such, or can they be used as standard. Should I just get a standard?

I'm also looking for a PCI card for a 1394 firewire, but I want it to have an internal male pin connector for accepting my case. If this isn't possible what cable to get to connect to a standard internal.

Thank you for all your help!!!
