Hey!

I just bought a new computer and i intend overclock it. The only proplem is i don't know where to start.

My system:

Core 2 Duo E6600
Corsair Dominator TWIN2X6400C4D CL4-4-4-12T
Asus P5N32-E SLI Plus

I have been looking around in the BIOS but i don't relly know what to change, there's alot that can be change and i wouldn't want to damage anything.

My goal is to get it running at 3ghz.

Thanks for any help!

Simply change the FSB to 335mhz (or 1340) and your RAM to run @ 670mhz (you can try doing them LINKED, but I don't know if that will put your RAM above the 800mhz speed)

Change the CPU Voltage to 1.375

Disable all Spectrum settings, C1E, Speedstep and thermal control.

What Cooler are you using?

Make sure you stay under 60c during load!

Thanks for the help m8, much appreciated! I will try it out later, i have the Noctua NH-U12F with one 12cm fan attached and one 12cm case fan just behind it. It's currently running at about 30-40 degrees celsius.

Edit: Worked like a charm. Running at 3ghz ^^ Thanks again!

Seams like i've got a small problem, the computer has frozen two times, once when playing a game and just now in windows.

I used linked mode, the memory runs at 802mhz then, maybe that's the problem?
