I have an Orinoco USB access point that I use with a DLink pcmia card and they are driving me nuts. Help??? Here's the deal, the Orinoco just randomly stops working and everything has to be rebooted. Sometimes does it im maybe 15 minutes, other times in hours (if really lucky). The message a see when I use the ctrl alt del are usually msgrsv32 or msgs not responding or cmuluc not responding.> I know therer are many who are sold on the Orinoco, but I am not so sold now. To improve range I took a 16ft USB cable between the desktop and the Orinoco unit. That helped the range of the Orinoco much, and the range in the Dlink far more. IT was dramatic and tops the charts out consistently.
Any advice on how to reduce the Orinoco problem's shutdown? Or, can it be restarted as a BUS item without a complete shutdown each time? Thanks, Bekker
