I ordered the expert...or so I thought but this is what i got. I hope it OCs as well...

Opteron 170, 2 gig of 2.3.2.5 Patriot

OEM HSF (the factory 4 heatpipe on e for now).

X1900XT

KuFormula VF1 Plus cooler for video (not yet installed, waiting to make sure vid card is working ok) I ordered the expert...or so I thought but this is what i got. I hope it OCs as well...

X-Fi sound card

OS samsung 250GB sata (wtf is it showing up as sata 1.5gb in bios and CPU-z?)

RAID 1 of 2 more of those drives on the SI 3114 controllerl for data

In Antec P180 case with Enermax Noisetaker 485W PSU.

I seen the FSB adjuster but when I bumped it as little as 210mhz even with DDR @ 2.7V it failed to boot. Im gonna need LOTS of help with mobo settings...

My goal is 2.6 for now on OEM HSF. From what Ive read it'll do it. My codes on Proc are as follows (info on it?)

OSA170DAA6CD
CCBWE 0551UPMW
1392548L50356

I even tried 2050mhz today by FSB and got issues wiith WoW. Im thinkin my RAM is my current issue. In this bios, what kinda settings do I need to change?

sorry to tell you but that stepping is not a great overclocker.

Set your memory to 180 divider and up your cpu vid special to 109% leave startup vid default and cpu volt to 1.40 your total volts should be around 1.55v. then let it go to windows, I doubt you can get better than 2.65 with that cpu stepping.

good luck
P.S you might want to visit dfi-street.com overclockers database for similar setups.
here is my settings when I was running at 2.75ghz but my memory is uccc based not sure what your memory chips are therefore timmings might be different.

FSB Bus Frequency - 275
LDT/FSB Frequency Ratio - AUTO
CPU/FSB Frequency Ratio - 10
PCI eXpress Frequency - 100Mhz

CPU VID StartUp Value - Startup

CPU VID Control - 1.400v
CPU VID Special Control - Above VID * 102.4% <-you might need a higher % on this
LDT Voltage Control - 1.20v
Chip Set Voltage Control - 1.56v
DRAM Voltage Control - 2.71v

DRAM Configuration Settings:

DRAM Frequency Set - 180=RAM/FSB:09/10
Command Per Clock (CPC) - Enable
CAS Latency Control (Tcl) - 3
RAS# to CAS# delay (Trcd) - 04 Bus Clocks
Min RAS# active time (Tras) - 08 Bus Clocks
Row precharge time (Trp) - 3 Bus Clocks
Row Cycle time (Trc) - 11 Bus Clocks
Row refresh cyc time (Trfc) - 16 Bus Clocks
Row to Row delay (Trrd) - 03 Bus Clocks
Write recovery time (Twr) - 03 Bus Clocks
Write to Read delay (Twtr) - 02 Bus Clocks
Read to Write delay (Trwt) - 03 Bus Clocks
Refresh Period (Tref) - 3120 Cycles
Write CAS Latency (Twcl) - Auto
DRAM Bank Interleave - Enabled

DQS Skew Control - Auto

I tried on DFI street and there everyone seems to wanna just say OMFG read the entire 40 page how to and you must understand and we arnt gonna help kinda stuff. Makes me wish I'd gotten the ASUS board. Their tech support center is right here in Louisville...

At any rate, I'll mess with it some tonight maybe. Im not sure what my ram is either, all I know its the Patriot 2.3.2.5 2GB kit...

Im gonna try deviders if I can figure it out to get a max CPU speed. I need to get a software tool on there to monitor. I seem to recall seeing something about a config for MM5 to make it work with these boards. I need to set that up to monitor my temps with.

Did you lower the LDT multiplier from 5x to 4x? That would be a good place to start. Also, is that memory DDR 400???

Yep, DDR 400.

Nope, Not 100% sure of w hat that is, thats the hypertransport link rate isnt it? Aside from the tiny FSB bump thats all I had done at this point. I thought with that small of a bump (failed at 210mhz fsb) that the HTT woudlnt been an issue...

I dropped mine to 4 as soon as I set my FSB above 200. Leaving it there until I hit 250. Then it goes down to 3.
