okay so i just got my new video card.... it is a geforce3 ti200 128mb..... and i installed the drivers that came with it...

however now when i play games it says that the drivers i have installed aren't stable and basicalle they suck...

where can i get better drivers? OR does this error message mean something more than bad driver?

does anyone know why my card could be so unstable.... when i install it is says that is hasn't been xp certified or something... but it is a very new card....

also when i play some older games it just shuts down right in the middle and my comp restarts... it says it is because my drivers are unstable...???

Lopyswine, make sure you remove the MSI drivers before installing the Nvidia drivers, this is important. Also some gaming bios tweaks like disable video ram cacheable in BIOS ,disable all video shadowing, disable system bios cacheable.

One last question what motherboard do you`ve?

when i install it is says that is hasn't been xp certified or something... but it is a very new card....
That just means the drivers are not WHQL approved by Microsoft, most drivers get tested by Microsoft and approved but it takes time.

Spacewalker mobo's are made by Shuttle.

There's no particular reason why your video card should have stability problems with WinXP. Like others said, download the latest drivers from nvidia. Before you install them be sure you remove all the old drivers. You may find some useful info here.

thank you for the posts so far...

okay so now i have put back in my old card and it works great... i am sending the card back to the manufacturer they are going to send me a new one..

the reason i have decided to do this is because when i start up now... i get one long beap from my mb...

could someone please put up a link to where i could the explanations for the beaps my mb makes... i have a shuttle spacewalker ak board....

i know the beaps mean something and i am assuming that one long means something is wrong with the video card....

Usually one long beep means that there is something wrong with your memory..Check to see that Memory, CPU HSF, all cables, cards, and power cords are all seated firmly. You may have nocked something loose wrestling with the vid cards..

but i only get the one long beep when i use the new card.... could that mean that the RAM on the new card is the problem?

So you don't get the long beep with any other cards? I doubt that the ram on the new card would be bad. You made sure that the new card was seated in very well?
