Hello fellow ATers. I was wondering if someone could help me out with a Norton Ghost problem that i'm having. I create the boot disk in windows and all is seemingly well. After that I boot with the disk into the Ghost program. I am able to select the source drive but when it asks me to specify a file name for the image file, i'm not able to select anywhere but the floppy drive and obviously the floppy isn't large enough to backup a hard drive. Both drives that i want to use are formatted in NTFS, which I think might be the problem. Can anyone help me out on this? A link to something beneficial would even be great. Thanks a lot.

Are you attempting to create image file on another drive - *.gho file - or are you trying to image one drive to another drive?

i was trying to create an image of my main OS/Programs drive and put that image on a small 8gb hard drive that i just put in solely for that purpose. i later figured out that norton ghost does not support saving that ghost image to an NTFS formatted drive. It can read and make the image OF an NTFS formatted drive, but can't save that image to one. Thanks though
