Help with new setup

Now that my exams are over, I'll be getting a new setup soon, specs for proc and video card are as follows:

AMD64 3000+ & Abit AN8 Ultra
Leadtek Geforce 6600GT

My only question is that is this combination sufficient to play games such as Rome Total War and Warhammer 40k at 1280x1024 without aa smoothly? I normally only play strategy games and occasionally rpg games.

Abit's AN8 sure is expensive... lol..
Get an ultra-d if possible... otherwise.. yeah.

i too disagree with your choice of motherboard. get an epox 9npa+ mobo. to answer your question, yes, it will. my 6600gt can run RTW at 1280x1024 with all other settings on high. and that was 512mb ram. you still probably should get 1gb though. i upgraded to 1gb a while ago, and loading times are a lot faster, and things are snappier.
