LAN Connection Stauts -> Properties -> Advanced Tab
I have the following message...
I don't use system restore, so that's not an option.
This has happened to TWO of my machines in setting up a network, then trying to share the connection from one computer to the other. I have the two talking to each other, but cant get internet access on the second machine, which is now hanging up after boot up as a retsult of trying this fix on Microsoft's site. I did the same on the first machine, and it doesnt hang (fresh install, using internet now), but I still have the error in the Advanced Tab, and I'm assuming that's why I can't get shared internet access, since that's where the option is available!
HELP!
Both machines are WinXP Pro. Cable Modem->USB on computer1->out ethernet to switch port1
Second computer is connected to switch on port2.
HELP!
Note that the lockup I spoke of is quite odd...when mousing over the startbar, the arrow turns to hour glass. Trying to open anything turns mouse to hourglass, but I can still move the mouse, click on stuff, numlock works, etc...
I have the following message...
Windows cannot display the properties of this connection. The Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) information might be corrupted. To correct this, use System Restore, to restore Windows to an earlier time, etc etc...
