help with network games

We just networked 2 computers in our home. 10base ethernet/twisted cable. Win98se drivers and it all works great except for one thing. How do we play a network game with 1 CD for 2 computers? If you log the second computer on it asks for the CD. Do we have to have buy or burn 2 copies of the game? Frankly that makes no sense to me, HELP guys!!!!!!!

why doesn't having to buy 2 discs make sense? thats how the company makes money, and you would only need to burn 1 copy of the game since you already have one.

there may be a way around it, but I'm not the expert in this area.

most newer games that are LAN/Internet games have an option to install a Multiplayer Spawn version of the game. it doesnt ask for the cd then. if your game doesnt have that option just burn a copy. it will be your "backup" copy incase the orgional gets damaged 😉

Also you can find a no cd fix for many games. This is very usefull so you do not have to dig out that damn disk to play your favorite game.
