i recnetly bought a 350w psu off of the sale/trade forum...works great so far, except one small thing. after installing this one and taking my old 250 out, i noticed my cpu temp goes up 3 degrees.....is this becasue before my cpu was underpowered and now it's running full?
it ran 45 usuall, now 48/49 (under load)
i'm using a stock HSF w/ AS2, have a fan in back and on top as exhaust, one on side and one on front for intake. my airflow exhause/intake are almost equal..

1.2 Tbird, not overclocked

My best guess is that the +12v on the 250 watt power supply was more than the 350w +12v. Check your +12v with SANDRA.

my voltages when fired up at that heat(aprox 46) are as follows:
vcore - 1.81
3.3 - 3.40
5 - 4.86
12 - 12.31

not sure what they were at before.

I got a 300w PSU and I don't have a +12v @ 12,31 only 12,038 so I guess your 250w PSU had even lower +12v. That's why your temp got up 3 degrees, maybe.
Or in the most PSU:s the fan blows in to the PSU and then down through the grill in the bottom of the PSU and out right on the CPU(I hate that design) so maybe your 350w generate more heat that your 250w and the air that is blown out of it is hotter and raises the themerature around your CPU. And your CPU gets hotter.
Just some thoughts.

thanks, i'll check the air flow on it and see if i can't hook a fan up or divert the air somehow....but the most likely "problem" is the fact that it's got higher 12v power?
