Help with my monitor plz ( possible problem)

I bought a Nec Mitsubishi Diamond Pro 930sb recently (1 week to be more precise) and im having a problem i think.

I run it at 1280 x 1024 at 85hz and when i look at a page with a lot of white , i can hear an high pitched buzz sound coming from the monitor

If i put my ear close to the upper part of the monitor , it seems that i can hear the sound more clearly.

If i am on a page with dark colors or in a game/movie , the sound is pretty much inexistant.

I tried various resolutions and Hz settings but nothing seems to correct to problem. The buzz seem to be worse on lower resolutions though and at 1600 x 1200 , i almost dont hear it.

Some people told me that it probably was a loose flyback transformer , others told me that it was normal and it was due to my room being cold (17 c) and others told me that it was normal that some Trinitrion were doing that sound at high resolution (which i really doubt )

I am no electronic expert but i personally think that this is not normal , especially for a monitor of that quality

Other than that , the monitor is fantastic.Crystal clear and exceptionnal image quality

Now , i am thinking about a RMA to Mitsubishi but i prefer to ask here before to be sure that i will be doing the right thing considering that i live in Canada and that shipping will cost me an arm.

I knew that this monitor was probably the best 19 CRT on the marke when i bought it but i also knew that the RMA rate for it was very high.I took a chance thinking that i would be lucky but it seems that i was not 🙁

P.S : I tried to call Mistsu but they seem to be closed on weekend

Thanks in advance for any information

Two of my trinitron's do/did the same thing. The one I replaced with a 2001fp did that for about 6 months then never did again. Sadly the picture had become so horrible over the years it had to go. My other that I still use does it, completely at random. It can do it the minute I turn on the monitor or it can go days without. I know this isn't much help fixing it but it's 2 for 2 out of my trinitrons, my samsung 997df has never done it.
