Help with my home network

I have a garage that is about 150 yards away from my router.
The laptop i use there gets sketchy signal if any.

I am pretty new to WiFi and networking, i would like to have a strong connection to this laptop so i can stream music and files along with accessing my internet connection.

What I have:
Netgear WGR614

D-Link hub
Hawkins omni directional antenna

Now i have been reading about bridges,boosters,antennas,acces points,Ect.. and I cant make sense of it all

What do you think would be best in this situation?
Remember I am completely new to this so anything would be a help.

What do you think about a linksys range expander? Will it pick up a week signal and boost it or does it need to be in range to get a solid signal?

Buy the Belkin Pre-N.

You could always try the Pringles method , too. Watch out for mysterious vans with search antannae roaming your neighborhood if you do, though
